Two projects at the intersection of data science and performative art were selected for the 2021 Art meets Science program of HIDA and the Academy for Theater and Digitality

By a cooperation between the Helmholtz Information & Data Science Academy and the Academy for Theater and Digitality, namely an innovative exchange program several projects were able to combine a scientific and artistic approach. With public presentations in Potsdam and Saarbrücken two projects came to an end...and inspired lots of further questions.

How does the climate sound? Kerstin Ergenzinger and Bnaya Halperin-Kaddari of the Sono-Choreographic Collective designed an artificial sound environment based on weather measurements. Martin Hennecke combined methods and techniques of data science and compositional ideals from theatre and music in his project „The (Un)Answered Question“.
