The Datalab is a temporary research and development space for practice-based research, improving collection data, and experimenting with machine learning techniques.

The Datalab was initiated as part of the Creative User Empowerment project (2021–2023) which supported the development of xCurator and aimed to open up a digital innovation and communication space.

In times of rapid change through artificial intelligence, we felt it would be useful to create an experimental space, invite creative technologists, and find ways to improve the accessibility and quality of
the collection data.
